Memberships

Memberships in the Hagood Community Center is open to any individual 55 or older who resides in Pickens County or the surrounding area. The Center is run totally by volunteers and receives no subsidies for meals or programs. Anyone is welcome and appreciated as a member or volunteer and donations are also appreciated and needed.

 

What Hagood Community Center Offers You

  • Meals – The Center serves lunch Monday through Friday (except Holidays) and dinner on Tuesday night prepared in our kitchen at the Center by volunteers.
  • Entertainment – most days, prior to lunch there will be some great musical entertainment or other interesting program. 
  • Bingo – 3 days a week, in the morning, with prizes.
  • Pool Tables – Two tables are available when the Center is open.
  • Fitness Classes – Two dedicated senior fitness classes each week. The Fitness Room is well equipped, climate controlled and open daily for members to use.
  • Lending Library and Television Room
  • Internet Access – throughout the facility.
  • Special Events – Holiday dinners, special raffles, Veterans Day Program and Memorial service and many others.
  • Fund Raising Activities – the Center participates in the Azalea Festival, Founders Day, The Gathering on Appalachian Life, and the BBQ & Bluegrass Fundraiser.
  • The Granger Fiber Arts Center – located in the Pickens Center welcomes members and teaches classes daily in the Fiber Arts.
