Pickens Revitalization Association (PRA) Pickens is fortunate to be designated as a Main Street Community of South Carolina. The Main Street program, which is an initiative of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, empowers residents and business owners with the knowledge, skills, tools and organizational structure necessary to revitalize their historic business centers. The PRA is the organization responsible for carrying out this important mission. It is a non-profit that was formed as a unique, preservation-based economic development body with the objective to:
♦ Grow Pickens business and retail base
♦ Cultivate local tourism
♦ Revitalize downtownSupport overall City improvement initiatives
♦ Create, manage, and support promotional events

The Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life and the business climate of Pickens and its surrounding area. It is financially supported by area businesses and citizens.

Alliance Pickens is the economic development agency for Pickens County. It is a public/private economic development organization whose primary mission is to attract, retain and increase the number of jobs and increase the tax base in Pickens County. Founded in 1995, Alliance Pickens has a board of 17 members who oversee its program of work and help lead the professional staff in recruiting new industry and maintaining existing industry in the county.

The Pickens Rotary Club has been active since 1949. Rotary is an international service organization whose mission is to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Guided by the principal of “Service Above Self”, Rotarians make up a great network in Pickens.
