FOIA Rate Schedule

The City of Pickens, South Carolina, establishes fees for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) responses to cover the actual costs of retrieving and providing records. Here is a general outline of the fee schedule:

 

• Search and Retrieval: $15.00 per hour, calculated to the nearest half-hour or the actual hourly rate of the lowest paid employee capable of completing the request.

 

• Copies: $0.10 per page for paper copies.

 

• Digital Media: $5.00 per CD/DVD/Media for digital or large-volume information.

 

• Postage/Shipping: Actual costs, if applicable.

 

• Deposits: A deposit of up to 25% of the estimated total cost may be required before processing begins.
